Organisation

At our school, structure and organization are designed to support children’s curiosity, independence, and holistic growth, while providing a safe and nurturing environment.

Our Opening Days

Our project operates on a four-day week, combining structured learning, self-directed activities, and hands-on projects.

One day each week is a Mixed-Age Day, where all children of different ages come together to work on interdisciplinary projects. These collaborative experiences allow the children to learn from one another, develop practical skills, and take part in larger initiatives such as excursions, outdoor projects, or creative landscape and garden work. This approach fosters teamwork, problem-solving, and real-world competence, while giving children time to explore their interests, reflect, and grow in a supportive environment

Our Honeybees (Ages 3–6)

Every day, our youngest children explore the world through rituals, nature, crafts, and play.

Each day offers a balanced mix of guided activities and free-choice experiences, allowing children to discover, create, and play at their own pace while supported by attentive staff.

Our Foxes (Ages 6–9)

In this stage, children combine participation in core subjects—offered at two different levels to meet individual needs—with afternoons filled with at least two optional activities. These activities are interdisciplinary, covering movement, creativity, play, and knowledge-building, ensuring variety and that every child finds something engaging. Collaboration and peer support are emphasized, allowing children to learn from and help each other

Our Eagles (Ages 9–15)

Our teenagers focus on self-chosen thematic projects that span multiple subjects. Each project forms the foundation for the quarter’s activities and is tailored to the group’s interests and individual strengths. While core subjects are still supported, the emphasis is on engaging, hands-on, and interdisciplinary learning, encouraging creativity, independence, and real-world skill development.

Partnership with Parents

We value a transparent and respectful collaboration with parents, seeing them as part of a community in which the children should feel seen and safe.

Open communication about weekly plans, progress, and project activities ensures that families are informed and involved.

Every quarter, we host an “Educational Marketplace”, a community event where parents, children, and staff come together to share ideas, materials, and experiences. This event fosters a strong sense of community, encourages exchange, and strengthens the connection between home and school.

We also recognize the family as a unique system and involve parents in educational processes where appropriate, while maintaining clear boundaries that allow children to develop independence, social skills, and confidence within the community.
